Kelly Shaw 

Kelly is an honours graduate from Ryerson University’s Performance Dance program and has been a professional freelance artist in Toronto for 6 years. Dancing for 20 years in multiple disciplines, she has trained with the Quinte Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet, and Springboard Danse Montreal. She has worked with esteemed educators and choreographers such as Robert Glumbek, Allen Kaeja, Vicki St. Denis, Nadia Pots, Marie Chouinard, Amy Shulman, Dee Caspary, Tiffany McLachlan and Linda Garneau to name a few. She has been an apprentice and company member with Toronto’s ProArte Danza in their 2009, 2010, and 2012 seasons. Kelly has also performed as a part of Dance Ontario Weekend, Toronto Fringe Festival, Capezio ACE awards, Helix Dance Project, Dance Matters, Human Body Expression, Gadfly, Hit and Run Productions, Transcendance Project, Alysa Pires Dance Projects, Conteur Dance Company and TOES for Dance. In recent years she studied Ohad Naharin’s improvisation technique in Barcelona and New York City. In addition to performing, Kelly is sought after as a freelance teacher and choreographer. She has been a faculty member with Fresh Dance Intensive and is a faculty member at Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance, Conteur Dance Academy, On the Floor and is certified as a Pilates Level 1 Mat instructor.
