Clayton Scott

Working with Vlad during BTA’s Sawdust helped guide me to find my individuality as a dancer and actor. Thanks to his encouragement and training I am a much more confident artist. Vlad’s direction truly helped me grow as a physical actor and comedian. On the Sawdust Trail was one of my favourite live experiences yet!

Born June 25th 1990 in Surrey, British Columbia, Clayton is a jazz and contemporary dancer, actor, and choreographer. Clayton is very passionate about comedy and dance within the film and arts community.

Clayton completed Ryerson University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2012, where he majored in theatre performance. During his time at Ryerson he trained under the National Ballet’s principal danceri Nadia Potts, Vicki St. Denys, Kate Hilliard, and Derek Sangster. During his time at Ryerson, Clayton made his television debut on Wipeout Canada, and is one of the only 48 Canadians to compete in the final Wipeout Zone in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After graduation, Clayton danced and choreographed comedic work for Vlad’s Dance Company, danced for Carly Rae Jepsen on MuchMusic, Alan Thicke, and opened Elton John’s Fashion Cares 25th Anniversary concert. While dancing full time he was choreographing competitive numbers for studios across North America.

Clayton’s love for dance is equal to his passion for film and television. Scott spent three seasons acting alongside academy award winner Guillermo Del Toro on FX’s “The Strain” as one of three leading Ancient characters. Additionally he has danced and performed stunts on “American Gods”, was featured on “Orphan Black”, “Country Crush”, “Shadowhunters”, and “Reign”. Clayton is excited to be working on the CBS series “Star Trek: Discovery”.

Clayton is looking forward to pursuing acting and dance opportunities, choreographing, and adjudicating internationally.
